WE RANKED THE HAIRCUTS OF EVERY WORLD CUP QUARTERFINALIST SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO

The 2026 World Cup quarterfinal field is officially set. Eight teams, four matches, and one question nobody else is asking: who showed up to the biggest tournament in football looking fresh, and who needs to fix up their hair before kickoff?

We watched so you didn't have to.

Here Are Our Rankings of the Top Team’s Cuts:

1. France

Mbappé has had the same clean low fade with sharp lines all tournament long and it hasn't budged. Post-match, mid-celebration, doesn't matter; his lineup stays. The rest of the team takes it just as seriously. Nobody on France is playing with a haircut that doesn't work. They're the team favored to win and they look like it.

2. Morocco

Morocco has been a story of this tournament and the grooming has matched every step of it. Ounahi's fade has been cleaner than some of his deliveries, and the squad overall has a sharpness to how they carry themselves that's hard to fake. They look like a team that belongs here because they do.

3. England

England might not always be the most exciting team to watch but they show up groomed every single time. Kane keeps it short and clean, Bellingham brings some personality, and the team is well put together across the board. Nothing flashy, but solid — which describes their tournament run too.

4. Norway

Haaland's man bun works for him. The team around him brings solid grooming across the board too, even if nobody's going to be stopping to take notes. Norway came into this tournament as underdogs and they've earned their spot in the quarterfinals. The presentation matches that quiet confidence.

5. Argentina

Messi came back from 2-0 down against Egypt today. The man is untouchable right now, and that carries an energy that makes everything around it look good. The team has a mix of styles, some tight fades and some more relaxed cuts, but there's a looseness to how Argentina carries itself that's earned when you're the reigning world champions. They know who they are.

6. Switzerland

Switzerland won today and made the quarterfinals the same way they do everything — methodically and without any unnecessary drama. The grooming matches: clean, precise, nothing out of place. Xhaka keeps it tight, the squad follows suit. There's something to be said for a team that just shows up and handles their business every single time.

7. Spain

Yamal is 18, has been the most exciting player in this tournament, and somehow has the cleanest fade in the Spanish squad by a distance. The team around him is a mix of veterans and young talent, and the energy of a team that genuinely believes it can win the whole thing comes through in how they carry themselves. Spain is built for big moments and they look like it.

8. Belgium

Belgium has been one of the more understated sides in this tournament — not flashy, just effective — and the cuts follow the same logic. De Bruyne keeps it short and clean, and the team around him is well maintained, and the overall presentation is exactly what you'd expect from a group of experienced professionals who've been here before. No drama, no distractions, just focused on the job.
