Maybe you think you’re taking good care of your Bald Buddy electric shaver because you always make sure to clean it after you’re done shaving. Unfortunately, we’re about to burst your bubble. If you want to extend the lifespan of your shaving and grooming tools, simply cleaning them after you’ve finished shaving isn’t going to cut it. If you’re serious about caring for your skull shaver, and you really want to make sure it lasts forever, you have to take the time to clean it during shaving as well.
Now, we know what you’re thinking. Why should you have to clean your bald shaver during your shave if you’re planning on doing so when you’re finished? The answer is pretty simple. If you go the entire length of your shaving time without cleaning off your shaver, you’re going to end up with a ton of shaving cream and hair buildup in the shaving head. Because of that, we’ve found that it’s much easier to get fantastic results from your shave if you continuously clean your shaver off as you go.
To clean your shaver during the shave, we recommend that you stop to wash it off after each run across your head. You just need a cup of warm or room temp water big enough to place the shaving head in, then dip the head of the shaver into the water while it is running. Since you’re doing this after each shave, it should only take a few seconds for all the gunk to come off.
When it comes to deep cleaning your skull shaver post-shave, the concept is the same. Just make sure you hold the shaving head in the water for a bit longer. That way you can make sure all of the hair and shaving cream gets out. If you want to take things further and clean your shaver even better, you can do a deep clean by removing each of the individual heads - just pop them off. This will give you better access to any buildup that could be underneath. Once you’re done cleaning it out, you just press the heads back on and store the shaver for next time. It’s really that easy!
